"9" Month Check-Up

Peyton had his 9 month check-up yesterday (he's a lot closer to 10 months than 9). We had to reschedule the appt. 3 times because of trips/illnesses/cancelled flights. Anywho, here are his stats:

Weight: 17 lbs, 14 ounces (does this guy ever gain any weight???)
Height: 28.25"
Head: Large (I don't particularly pay attention to this statistic)

Soooo.....our little guy is still super skinny (he has now dropped down to the 6th percentile for weight). The doctor said not to worry about his slow weight gain, he's just going to be super slim. He didn't get any immunizations yesterday but he did get his finger pricked to check his iron levels (which checked out fine).

Houston Zoo

On March 6th, we loaded up the cars and headed to the Houston zoo for a day of fun! The weather was amazing, which meant that 75% of Houstonians were there - but no bother, it was still a great day. This was Peyton's first trip to the zoo (and at 9 months old, I'm not sure he actually cared) so I'm glad it was perfect weather.










We made sure to keep his little bald head covered.

Children's Museum

On Friday, March 5th, we headed over to the Children's Museum so that Peyton and Kamryn could play and get all of their energy out. We had a great time exploring "Kidtropolis" - which is a kid-sized city that includes a bank (where you can pick up an ATM card and add "cash" to it), a grocery store (with working registers), a bike shop, diner, Vet hospital, ambulance, news station, polling place (where you can watch candidates' videos) and an art studio. They have done a great job with the re-model!! I wish the children's museum had been that cool when I was little! They also had a great structure to climb around in (which Ashley and I took advantage of) and an outdoor water area. We took Peyton up to the "TotSpot" (a room for 2 and under) to crawl over bridges, slide down slides and all sorts of other fun stuff for babies!

...and *that* is how you get rotavirus! That's right, Peyton, Cody and Kamryn all came down with rotavirus the next night. It was awful watching my little baby suffer through something like that. Peyton later spread it to his Aunt Melissa and both of his paternal grandparents. Tonya ended up getting it later from Cody and Kamryn. That virus spreads like wildfire!!!

Part 1 of Texas photos....

So, I have a ton of photos to share from my trip to Texas. This is just a small group of them (I haven't even begun to edit most of them!) For some reason, my computer is having trouble recognizing some of the photo files, so I'll have to get that sorted out (sigh). If anyone can tell me why my computer would have trouble with only some of the RAW files on a CF card - let me know!
